Age Limit as on 30-09-2018: 18 to 25 years

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have degree of Matric/Std. X with a minimum of 50 % marks for UR/OBC [NCL] candidates and 45 % marks for SC/ST candidates & ITI Examination in relevant Trade with aggregate of 60% marks qualified from NCVT.

Pay Scale: As per the Apprentices Act 1961

  • Job Location:  Kadapa (Andhra Pradesh)

Selection Process : Selection will be based on merit basis i.e. on the basis of marks obtained in Matric & ITI marks.

About Uranium Corporation of India Limited

Uranium Corporation of India Limited was established on 1967. It is a under the Department of Atomic Energy in which the department is directly engaged in the development of the nuclear power technology. The corporation is mainly responsible for the mining and milling of uranium ore in India. UCIL is certified by ISO 9001:2008 and has it has all new technologies for its mines and process plants.

The organization runs mines at Bhatin, Banduhurang, Turamdih, Jaduguda, and Narwapahar. Bhatin mine shares most of the infrastructure with the Jaduguda mine and is placed at is located 3 km away from Jaduguda.  In 1967, Jaduguda mine which is situated at Jharkhand state is the first uranium mine of India which started its operations. Jaduguda process plant is situated close to the mine which is used for the processing of the uranium ore. The ore from Bhatin and Narwapahar mines is also processed here. Turamdih mine started its operation in 2003 and is located 5 km south to Tatanagar railway station and 24kms to the west of Jaduguda. Narwapahar mine is known to be the most modern mine of the country and starts its operation in 1995. Two underground mines in Jharkhand have been designed by Uranium Corporation of India Limited. Uranium reserves have been brought to existence in the state of Andhra Pradesh and the construction of an underground mine has started in district of Cuddapah.
