About UP Police
Uttar Pradesh Police is the law implementation organization of the state of UP with its HQ in Allahabad. The UP Police is controlled by the Director General of Police, S. JAVEED AHMAD. UP Police is meant to be the biggest police force in the sphere. It was shaped in the year 1863 as the Office of the Inspector General of Police.
For the drive of conserving the discipline in the state, UP is distributed into eight zones of Police. Each and every zone is controlled by an officer ranking similar to Inspector General which is an officer of the IPS. Each Police region is established by three Police ranges. For every district, the supreme of the Police is the Senior Superintendent who is at all times an officer of the IPS. In the release of his responsibilities, he is supported by Additional Superintendents.
The head of the Police force in the region is the Senior Superintendent who is permanently an officer ofIPS, the vital duty with respect to the upkeep of law & order in the region is in the hands of the District Magistrate who is an officer of Indian Administrative Service. The officer in charge of the Police Circle or the Sub-Division is nominated as the Circle Officer in the state. A Police Circle is typically instituted by max 4 Police Stations. And each of the Police Station is directed by a Police Inspector.
