Age Limit: Born between 01 April 1999 to 31 Mar 2004. Relaxation (in Upper age limit) : 05 years for SC/ST, 02 years for wards of Defence employees or Naval civilians.
Educational Qualification: 10 passed with a minimum of 50% marks in Std 10 examination along with in examination passed (Provisional National Trade Certificate acceptable) in relevant trade with aggregate of 65 % marks.

About Naval Dockyard
The prime ship repair yard of the Indian Navy is the Naval Dockyard, Mumbai. It is one of the largest shipyards in Asia with a historical past of 200 years. The yard is the front liner in the field of technology for repairs of ship yard.
East India Company established the grounds of the naval dockyard in the year 1735. In the year 1976, concerned by the scarcity of oak wood for constructing ship a master builder was brought from Surat to Mumbai and assigned him a job of ship construction. The finest ship among the world was the ship made at Bombay dockyard. In the year 1817, HMS Trincomalee was built at Bombay Dockyard which was the pride of the warship. It is the world’s second oldest ship afloat. Currently the dockyards carry out to maintain of ship and submarines of the Western Naval Command. It also upholds the fleet of 70 yards crafts which is responsible to provide logistic support to warships in harbour. Mostly all the training centre and workshops are certified with ISO 9000/2001.
The yard is spread over in 138 acres of land in which it has more than 4 kms of wharves and jetties. All the testing and repair facilities are available with wide number of different equipment’s. The main importance is safety and good surroundings are given in the dockyard. Currently there are near about 10,000 workers managed by naval officer.
