Age Limit As on 11.12.2018:
- Maximum 15 to 24 years
- Age relaxation applicable as per govt rules.
Educational Qualification:Candidates should possess Matric/10th Class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from recognized Board & ITI in relevant trade (i.e National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/ State Council for Vocational Training).
Pay Scale: As Per RRC Rules

About East Central Railway
East Central Railway started its operations in the year 1996 and is one among the 17 railway divisions in India. The Headquarter of East Central Railway is in Hajipur and has got 5 divisions under its fold. The divisions under East Central Railway are Sonpur Division, Samastipur Division, Danapur Division, Mughalsarai Division, and Dhanbad divisions. The freight and passenger transportation facility provided by East Central railways to its covering areas has become a great blessing and this has made rapid growth in the infrastructure as well as economic development in the areas of its operation.
The network of East Central Railway is vast with a network of 5230 track kilometers and 3624 route kilometers covering the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. One of the noticeable point is that 4267.89 km have been electrified out of the total of 5230 track kilometers under this zone of East Central Railway. There are many number of Rail bridges under this zone which has got great significance in the history of Indian railway and has contributed really important part for the growth of some isolated areas in the states of its operation.
To add on to the operation efficiency of East Central Railway there are many factories and workshops coming in under its fold such as Greenfield Electric Locomotive Factory in Madhepura, Rail Wheel Plant in Bela, Diesel Locomotive Manufacturing Plant at Marhaura, ‘C’ category unloadable wagon repair workshop at Samastipur, Carriage Repair Workshop at Harnaut, DEMU maintenance depot at Sonepur etc.
This has made it very clear about the volume of employment opportunities going to arise in the zone of East Central Railway.
