The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) examination will be held on December 9. The Central Board of Education (CBSE) will conduct the CTET examination in 92 cities across the country. For the CTET 2018 Examination, 2296 centers have been set up across the country.

The CTET Admit Card was issued on November 22 for the CTET Examination. Candidates who have not yet downloaded their Admit Card, can download the Admit Card by going to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in.

The exam date is near, so candidates prepare their preparation faster, the CTET 2018 exam pattern for candidates (CTET Exam Pattern) and Syllabus (CTET Syllabus) is given below.

  • Paper 1 will be from : 02 p.m. to 4:30 p.m
  • Paper 2 will be from: 9.30 am to 12.00 in the morning.

CTET  Paper 1 (Class 1 to 5):

  • Child Development and Pedagogy: 30 Questions, 30 Marks
  • Language I Compulsory: 30 Questions, 30 Marks
  • Language II Compulsory: 30 Questions, 30 Marks
  • Mathematics: 30 Questions, 30 Marks
  • Environmental Studies: 30 Questions, 30 Marks

Total : (Time Duration 150 minutes) 150 questions, 150 points

CTET Paper 2 (Class 6 to 8):

Number of topic questions:

  • Child Development and Pedagogy Compulsory: 30 Questions, 30 Marks
  • Language I compulsory 30 Questions, 30 Marks
  • Language II Compulsory 30 Questions, 30 Marks
  • Mathematics and Science (For teachers of mathematics and science)/ Social Studies / Social Science (For teachers of Social Studies / Social Science):  60 Questions, 60 Marks

Total : (Time Duration 150 minutes) 150 questions, 150 points

CTET 2018 Pattern of Examination:

  • CTET examination will have 2 papers. The first paper will be for those who apply for class 1st to 5th. While the paper 2 will be for those who apply for class 6 to 8.
  • Objective type questions will be asked in CTET Examination.
  • Paper 1 will have 150 questions. Paper 1 will total 150 marks. While Paper 2 will also have 150 questions and Paper 2 will also be 150 marks.
  • The examination will be in 20 languages.
  • Candidates will be given the exam in one language.
  • These languages ​​include English, Hindi, Assamese, Bangla, Garo, Gujarati, Kannada, Khasi, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Mizo, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Tamil, Telugu, Tibbati and Urdu.
