Pay Scale: ₹25,500 – 81,100/-per month

Weight: Corresponding to height and age as per medical standards (for males and females). Weight will be recorded at the time of physical measurements but the decision on fitness on account of weight will be taken at the time of medical examination.

About Central Industrial Security Force

The Central Industrial Security Force emerged in 1969 with a new commencement, having three battalions, to give combined safety to the Public Sector Undertakings. Later on 15th June 1983 CISF made an armed force of the Union of India by another Act of Parliament. Presently its approximate strength is 165000. The largest industrial security force in the world is CISF. The federal Ministry of Home Affairs is directing the CISF. The headquarters is located at New Delhi.

Now, CISF is a leading multi-skilled protecting organization of the country which is authorized to provide security to major critical infrastructure installations of the country and is no longer a Public Sector Undertakings organization. The most significant duties recently assigned to the CISF are the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Disaster Management and VIP Security. Presently it is also providing security cover to nuclear installations, airports, space establishments, seaports, sensitive Government buildings, power plants and ever heritage monuments.

An Indian Police Service officer with the rank of Director-General is controlling the CISF. There are all together 7 sectors in the force which are Airport, Training, East, South, North, West and North- East. The Airport Sector is controlled by an IPS officer who is assisted by an Inspector-General. The other six Sectors are each headed by an Inspector-General, assisted by a Deputy Inspector-General. The CISF is taking the responsibilities of airport security in India. Currently it is protecting overall 59 domestic and international airports in India.
